Q. I have a YAHOO email account and the studies are delivered very sporadically. I have tried adjusting the SPAM settings but that has not helped. What can I do?
A. As far as the inconsistency of the delivery, that is entirely a Yahoo mail server issue. Yahoo filters out mail that they think is spam and that mail does not get delivered. We’ve done some research and this is a problem with any company that tries to deliver newsletters etc. to large amounts of people. As a test, we set up three different Yahoo email accounts and on any given day, some accounts will get the studies and others don’t. You can try creating a new email address that the studies are delivered to (set up a G-mail or Hotmail account just for the studies?) or change the email address to another one you might have for home or work. Another option is to go to the E-DiBS website (www.e-dibs.org) and click on the Bible Studies Archive button and there you can access any lesson that you might not get on a given day. We are very sorry about the problem but unfortunately, there is nothing we can do.
Q. When I click on the video, sometimes the video stops and starts. Is there any way I can fix that?
A. Some members have been able to upgrade the Flash Player on their computers to alleviate that problem. You can get the latest version of Adobe's Flash Player here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&promoid=BIOW
Q. I'm being told that I should be getting the daily email studies, but they are not in my email inbox. What is the problem?
A. Some of the Internet Service Providers (ISP) will automatically direct incoming emails to a Spam folder or Bulk Mail folder. Check those folders with your email provider to see if the Bible studies are located there. If so, each ISP provides a way to notify them that the emails are OK and to let them into your Inbox. Many of them just require that you put our email address into your email address book. The correct sender address to use is noreply@e-dibs.org.
